Dreaming of Mountain Lions: Courage, Power, and Native American Symbolism
Well now, let me tell ya, dreamin’ ’bout mountain lions, that’s somethin’ else, ain’t it? I ain’t no fancy dream expert or nothin’, but I’ve had my share of dreams, and them mountain lions, they sure do pop up now and again.
What them big cats mean, you ask? Well, from what I gather, and what folks ’round here say, it’s mostly about bein’ strong and tough. You know, like them cats themselves. They gotta be strong to survive out there in the wild, gotta hunt for their food and protect their young’uns. So, if you’re dreamin’ ’bout ’em, maybe it means you got that strength inside you too, or maybe you need to find it.
Them Injuns, they got their own ideas ’bout it. They say the mountain lion is like a protector, watchin’ over folks, kinda like a mama bear watchin’ over her cubs. That’s a nice way to think about it, ain’t it? Makes you feel a little safer, knowin’ somethin’s lookin’ out for ya, even if it’s just in your dreams.
- Dreamin’ of a mountain lion, could mean you’re ready for somethin’ big.
- Somethin’ tough, somethin’ that’ll test your mettle.
- Maybe it’s a new job, maybe it’s a fight you gotta face, who knows?
But it ain’t always just about bein’ strong, you know. Sometimes it’s about courage too. It takes a lot of guts to face a mountain lion, even in a dream. So maybe that dream is tellin’ you to be brave, to stand up for yourself, to not let nobody push you around.
I remember one time, I dreamt I was walkin’ through the woods, and this big ol’ mountain lion just stepped out in front of me. I was scared, I ain’t gonna lie. My heart was poundin’ like a drum, and I thought for sure I was done for. But then, somethin’ inside me just clicked, and I stood my ground. I looked that lion right in the eye, and you know what? It just turned around and walked away. Now, I ain’t sayin’ I’m some kinda lion tamer or nothin’, but that dream, it showed me I was stronger than I thought I was.
Lots of folks dream ’bout lions, not just mountain lions. And them regular lions, they mean pretty much the same thing: power, strength, all that good stuff. But the mountain lion, it’s a little different, I think. It’s wilder, more independent. It ain’t the king of the jungle, it’s the king of its own little corner of the world. And that’s somethin’ to admire, ain’t it?
So, next time you dream ’bout a mountain lion, don’t just brush it off. Think about what it might mean. Think about what’s goin’ on in your life, and see if that dream ain’t tryin’ to tell you somethin’. Maybe it’s tellin’ you to be strong, maybe it’s tellin’ you to be brave, maybe it’s just tellin’ you to keep your eyes open and watch out for them big cats, both in your dreams and in real life.
And you know, sometimes a dream is just a dream. Maybe you ate somethin’ funny before bed, or maybe you were watchin’ one of them nature shows. But even then, it don’t hurt to think about it a little, does it? After all, our dreams, they come from somewhere inside us, and sometimes they can tell us things we didn’t even know we knew.
So, there ya have it. That’s my two cents on dreamin’ ’bout mountain lions. Take it or leave it, it’s up to you. But remember this, you’re stronger than you think, and you got more courage than you give yourself credit for. Just like that mountain lion, you got what it takes to survive, to thrive, and to make your own way in this world.
