Chinese Horoscope Gemstones: Find Your Lucky Stone Today

Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about them Chinese horoscope gemstones. You know, the shiny rocks that folks say bring you luck and all that jazz.

I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I heard some things from my neighbor, Mrs. Wang, who got a cousin who knows a fella who reads fortunes. So, this ain’t gospel, but it’s what I picked up.

Now, they got this whole animal thing going on in China, right? Like, the year you’re born in is a rat year, or a pig year, or a dragon year, somethin’ like that. And each of them animals, they got their own special stone.

• For example, if you’re born in the year of the Ox, like my ol’ man was, then jade is your lucky stone. Mrs. Wang says it brings you good luck and helps you stay steady, just like an ox plowing a field. Makes sense, I reckon. Oxen ain’t known for their jumpin’ around, are they?
• Then there’s them Cancer folks. They’re supposed to wear pearls or moonstones. Shiny, ain’t they? Like the moon on a clear night. I always liked lookin’ at the moon. Peaceful, it is.
• And the Leo fellas, they get the ruby. Red and fiery, like them lions they got in the picture books. My grandson loves them lions. Always roarin’ around the house pretending to be one. Kids, eh?

Now, I can’t remember all of ’em, but I know there’s more. Like, them Virgo people, they got the emerald, green like spring grass. And the Libra folks, they’re all fancy with their diamonds. Can’t say I ever owned a diamond myself. Too busy feedin’ chickens and hoein’ the garden for such things.

Then there’s the Scorpio folks, brave and bold, they wear red coral for courage. And the Sagittarius, smart as a whip, they get the yellow sapphire for knowledge. My daughter, she always was a smart one. Maybe she should’ve got herself a yellow sapphire, huh?

And for the Capricorn, serious and hardworking like my old man again, they get the blue sapphire or a diamond. Plenty of diamonds to go around, seems like. Though I still ain’t seen one up close.

But it ain’t just about the year you’re born in, see. There’s other stones for different times and signs. Like that clear quartz and moonstone, some folks say they bring luck too. It all gets a bit confusing if you ask me.

And don’t forget about this year, 2024. They say amethyst is the stone of the year. “Stone of the year”, they call it, sounds mighty important, doesn’t it?. I heard it helps you find your inner light. Well, my inner light is usually tellin’ me to get up and make breakfast, so I don’t know if I need a stone for that.

So, what’s all this mean? Well, I reckon it just means that folks like pretty shiny things, and they like to think them things bring ’em luck. And maybe they do. Can’t hurt, can it? If wearin’ a shiny rock makes you feel better, then go ahead and wear it, I say. Just don’t go spendin’ all your hard-earned money on it. There’s bills to pay and mouths to feed, after all.

Or you could just look it up on that inter-web thingy my grandson’s always fiddlin’ with. Though I still don’t quite understand how that thing works. Magic, I tell ya, pure magic.
