Figurin’ Out Your Cards

First thing’s first, you gotta know your birthday, obviously. Can’t do much without that, can ya? Then, you gotta do some addin’. Take the month you were born, the day, and the year, and you add ’em all up. Like, if you was born on December 12th, 1985, you’d add 12 (for December) + 12 (for the day) + 1 + 9 + 8 + 5 (for the year). That’d be 47, see? Now, if you get a number bigger than 22, you gotta keep addin’ ’em up. So, 4 + 7 is 11. That there, 11, that’d be one of your cards. They call it your “life path” card, I think.

Then, you take that first number, the 47, and you add up them digits again. 4 + 7 is 11. So, in this case, both numbers is the same. But sometimes, they ain’t. Like, if you was born on, say, October 28th, 1970, that’d be 10 + 28 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 0 = 55. Five plus five is ten. So, your cards would be 10 and 55. If you get a number bigger than 78, you keep addin’ until you get to somethin’ smaller.

What Them Cards Mean

Now, each of them numbers stands for a card in the tarot deck. And each card’s got its own story to tell. I ain’t gonna go through all of ’em, ’cause there’s a whole bunch, but I’ll tell ya about a couple.

  • The High Priestess (Number 2): Now, this here lady, she’s all about secrets and intuition. She’s wise, you know? Like them old women who know things without bein’ told. If this is your card, you’re probably the kind of person who trusts their gut, and you ain’t afraid to dig deep to find the truth. You’re probably pretty good at keepin’ secrets too.
  • Justice (Number 11): This one’s about fairness and doin’ what’s right. If this is your card, you believe in bein’ honest and treatin’ folks fair. You can’t stand cheatin’ or lyin’, and you’ll always stand up for what you believe is right, even if it ain’t easy.

There are others, of course. Like the Magician, who’s all about makin’ things happen, and the Lovers, who’s all about relationships and choices, and the Chariot, who’s about willpower and gettin’ where you wanna go. Each one’s got somethin’ different to say.

What’s It All Mean, Anyway?

So, what’s the point of all this card readin’? Well, it ain’t about tellin’ the future, not exactly. It’s more about understandin’ yourself better. See, them cards, they just give you a little nudge, a little somethin’ to think about. They can help you see your strengths and your weaknesses, and maybe even give you some ideas about what you should be doin’ with your life.

For instance, if your card is Justice, maybe you should think about becomin’ a lawyer, or a judge, or somethin’ where you can help folks get a fair shake. Or if it’s the High Priestess, maybe you should trust your intuition more and listen to that little voice inside your head. It’s all about findin’ your own path, see? And them cards, they just kinda point you in the right direction.

Don’t Take It Too Serious

Now, one last thing. Don’t go gettin’ all worked up about these cards. They ain’t the be-all and end-all. They’re just a tool, somethin’ to help you understand yourself a little better. Don’t let ’em boss you around, and don’t let ’em make you think you’re somethin’ you ain’t. You’re still in charge of your own life, no matter what them cards say. Just take it all with a grain of salt, and have a little fun with it. That’s the most important thing, ain’t it? Just like readin’ the tea leaves or lookin’ at the clouds, sometimes it just gives you somethin’ to ponder on while you’re sippin’ your mornin’ coffee.

So there ya have it, a little somethin’ about birth tarot cards. Hope it made some sense to ya. Now go on and figure out your own cards, and see what they gotta say. You might be surprised at what you learn.
