Tarot cards by number : A simple guide to understanding each cards meaning in tarot reading

Okay, let’s talk about these tarot cards by number. I don’t know much about fancy stuff, but I’ve seen these cards around. And I’m startin’ to learn ’em, you know?

First off, you got them big shot cards, them Major Arcana ones. They got numbers on ’em, from zero all the way up. Zero, that’s The Fool. Sounds kinda dumb, don’t it? But that’s just the start. Just a beginnin’, I guess. Like a baby just born, not knowin’ nothin’ yet.

Then you got all them others, The Magician, The High Priestess, all the way to The World. The World, that’s number 21, I think. That’s like, the end, you know? Like you done seen it all, done it all. You figured out everythin’. Must be nice!

These tarot cards by number, they tell a story. I ain’t sure I get all of it. Seems like it’s about learnin’ and growin’ and, well, gettin’ wiser, I reckon. Like life, you know? You start out not knowin’ nothin’, and then you go through stuff, and hopefully, you end up a little smarter.

Then there’s the little cards, the Minor Arcana, they called it. Less important, I suppose. But there’s a whole mess of ’em. Fifty-six, if you count ’em all. And they got numbers too, most of ’em.

They got these suits, like in a regular deck of cards, but different. You got Wands, sounds like sticks to me. And Cups, like what you drink outta. Then there’s Swords, those sound scary. And Pentacles, I heard someone say that’s like money. Coins and such.

  • Wands, those are like, doin’ things. Workin’ hard, buildin’ stuff.
  • Cups, that’s more about feelin’s, I think. Love and bein’ happy, or sad, you know?
  • Swords, well, that’s trouble. Fightin’ and arguin’. Nobody likes that.
  • Pentacles, that’s the money. Havin’ it, losin’ it. All that stuff.

So, these tarot cards by number in the Minor Arcana, they’re numbered from Ace to Ten, I believe. Ace is like one, I guess that’s easy to remember. Then you got Two, Three, Four, all the way up. Just like countin’ on your fingers!

Then there’s the other ones, the face cards, they are like royalty I guess. You got your Kings and Queens and such. They ain’t got numbers, but they fit in there somewhere. I ain’t figured that part out yet.

They say these numbered tarot cards by number, they all mean somethin’. Like, the Two of Cups might mean you gonna fall in love, or the Ten of Swords means somethin’ bad gonna happen. I don’t know if I believe all that, but it’s interestin’ to think about.

These tarot cards by number are like a puzzle, I guess. You gotta put all the pieces together to see the whole picture. And each card, with its number and its picture, it’s like a little piece of that puzzle.

The number, it’s important, they say. Like, the lower numbers, they’re more about startin’ somethin’. And the higher numbers, they’re more about finishin’ it. Or somethin’ like that. It’s a bit confusin’, to be honest.

And every number, they got a meanin’. Like, One is for new beginnin’s. Two is for partners, workin’ together. Three is about growth, you know, like a plant growin’. I ain’t got all of ’em memorized yet, but I’m learnin’

I heard folks say these cards can tell the future. I don’t know about that. Seems like a load of hooey to me. But they can make you think, that’s for sure. Make you think about your life, and where you’re goin’, and what you’re doin’.

I guess that’s why people like these tarot cards by number. They’re like a mirror, in a way. They show you somethin’ about yourself, somethin’ you might not have seen before. Or maybe somethin’ you didn’t want to see.

So, yeah, these cards, they’re interestin’. More to ’em than you might think, just lookin’ at ’em. All them numbers and pictures, they all got a story to tell. You just gotta learn how to listen.

Maybe I’ll figure it all out someday. Maybe I won’t. But it’s somethin’ to keep my mind busy, I reckon. And who knows, maybe these tarot cards by number do hold some kinda magic after all.

I just think it’s all a bit of fun, really. Nothin’ to be scared of. Just a bunch of cards with numbers and pictures on ’em. But if it makes you think, well, that ain’t a bad thing, is it?

So there you go. That’s my two cents on them tarot cards. I ain’t no expert, but I got eyes and ears, and I use ’em. And that’s what I seen and heard about these tarot cards by number.
