Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Modern Witch Tarot Deck,” and let me tell you, it’s been a trip. I’m not exactly a pro at this tarot thing, but I figured, why not give it a shot?
I started by just getting to know the deck, you know? I flipped through the cards, looked at the pictures, and read the little booklet that came with it. The artwork is pretty cool, I gotta say. It’s got this modern vibe, with people wearing regular clothes and using cell phones and stuff. It definitely feels more relatable than those old-school decks with all the medieval imagery.

My First Reading
Then, I decided to do a simple three-card reading for myself. You know, past, present, future kind of thing. I shuffled the cards, focused on a question I had about my job, and then laid them out.
- The first card, the past, was the “Ten of Wands.” The booklet said it means being burdened, feeling overwhelmed. Yeah, that pretty much summed up how I felt at my old job. No surprises there.
- The second card, the present, was the “Five of Pentacles.” This one showed two people walking in the snow, looking all sad and broke. The booklet talked about hardship, feeling left out in the cold. Kinda depressing, but it kinda resonated with my current job situation, too. I’m not exactly rolling in dough.
- The third card, the future… that was the “Ace of Cups.” Now, this one was more positive. It showed a hand holding a cup that was overflowing with water. The booklet talked about new beginnings, love, and emotional fulfillment. Okay, I can get behind that! Maybe things are looking up?
Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out what it all means. It’s not like the cards gave me a direct answer to my question, but they definitely gave me some food for thought. It was like holding up a mirror to my own feelings and anxieties, you know? It was a little freaky, but also kinda cool.
Next Steps
I kept practicing, doing readings for myself and my friends. Some of them were surprisingly accurate, others were a bit more vague. But the more I used the deck, the more I started to understand the meanings of the cards, and the more I started to trust my own intuition when interpreting them.
I also started digging deeper into the symbolism of each card. I learned that the “Wands” suit is all about action and passion, while the “Pentacles” suit deals with material things like money and work. The “Cups” suit is all about emotions and relationships, and the “Swords” suit is about intellect and conflict.
I’m still a beginner but I think I’m getting the hang of this tarot thing. And I keep practicing every day, and sharing my little readings with my friends, it’s become like a fun little hobby for us. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll even be good enough to read for strangers!
